D Double E and Footsie are the ‘Newham Generals’. As Grime scene veterans, they are among the most respected and critically-acclaimed underground acts in the UK today, having consistently forged new styles and concepts throughout a career spanning over two decades.

Signed as Dirtee Stank’s flagship act in 2006, the Generals have shirked riding on Dizzee Rascal’s coattails. Instead, the Forest Gate duo have focused on making the music that gained them notoriety on London’s pirate airwaves, continuing a legacy that has already yielded underground classics such as ‘Frontline”, their critically acclaimed ep “Bag Of Grease” and the smash, “Hard” produced by Breakage feat. Rodigan.

With features on DIRTEE TV.COM The Mixtape Vol 1 and 2, the Gens also shared Dizzee’s recent ep, released on New Years day 2013.

When not in the studio cooking up heat, the pair tour relentlessly all over Europe and have supported Dizzee on numerous and worldwide tours. Opening his sell-out shows across the UK, the Gens have constantly been building their repertoire and pushing their music forward. Without selling out, the Gens keep their business tight.
