Kent may be best known for its rolling countryside, but the county’s given us its biggest breath of fresh air yet in the form of Paul Mackley, the DJ better known as Rattus Rattus. Mackley is one of the UK’s best up-and-coming artists on the bass music scene; a dexterous DJ with an aptitude for generating deep beats and an accomplished understanding of underground music.
Rattus Rattus delivers a range music vibes, from house to garage to grime. He draws on his diverse musical influences and eclectic taste, so that amongst the current plethora of live producers he is one of the few DJs to shine through and light up any dancefloor. This is a man who prides himself on his ability to always take his audience on a journey -in the words of Snowbombing: “if the bassline doesn’t get you, the dexterity and merciless pace will”.
